about me.
My name is Megan Hipkiss, and I'm a skilled hair and makeup artist based in Birmingham, West Midlands. With over five years of experience in the industry, I began my journey by training at college and earning Level 2 and Level 3 diplomas in Hair and Media Makeup. After obtaining my qualifications, I pursued advanced training, specialising in hair and makeup for TV, film, and theatre. I am experienced with working with wigs and hairpieces as well as men's barbering, and male grooming.
Since my training, I have had the opportunity to work on numerous theatre productions in regional theatres across the UK, and I have earned credits on well-known TV shows and films. In addition to my work in media, I have successfully built a bridal business, bringing my expertise to weddings and special occasions.
I travel all over the UK with my work in the filming industry and provide mobile services for brides nationwide. It's a huge dream of mine to work abroad on destination weddings or filming projects!

Outside of the hair and makeup world, I absolutely love traveling the world, chasing the next adventure. I'm in my happy place when the sun is shining, exploring new places, whether it's the vibrant energy of city breaks or the serene beauty of tropical island life. I'm a true foodie, I especially loooove Italian cuisine as well as Thai. I adore all animals, especially cats and dogs; they bring immense joy to my life. Staying active is important to me, so I enjoy going to yoga, hitting the gym, and going on long walks ( that often end in a cosy pub with a nice roast dinner!) Makeup has been my passion since forever and I feel eternally grateful that I have created a career doing something I love.
